WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION
You can park in the free car park attached to all of James’ private hospital clinics. As you enter the hospital you will be greeted and welcomed by the friendly reception team, who will assist you through any necessary paperwork. (Please bring with you any insurance details and authorisation numbers if you are planning to use insurance.)
At the time of your appointment you will be taken into a private consultation room to see James. Here he will take time to discuss your problems in full and complete a full assessment of your complaint. A new patient will normally be seen for approximately 30 minutes in clinic and follow up consultations are approximately 15 minutes.
X-rays may be required, so you may be requested to attend the radiology department. This is on site and can be done at this time (please bring any previous x-rays you have with you to your appointment or notify Jame’s secretary should you need help sourcing them.) To ensure the smooth running of the clinic you may be requested to arrive 30 minutes early to have an x-ray prior to seeing James. You will be notified of this in your appointment letter if this is the case. Following your x-ray James will review you again with your up to date x-rays before you leave, and discuss his findings and any treatment options that are necessary.
Should surgery be required, James will usually give you a date for surgery at this first appointment. If you are funding the treatment yourself there will be a member of the Business Administration team available to discuss the costs of your treatment.
